30 Day Book Meme – Day Four

Day 04 – Favorite book of your favorite series? 

Witches Abroad, Discworld book number 12. Not only is it a Witches book, Granny Weatherwax is badass in it. I don’t want to give away the ending but, oh my god, it’s awesome. Granny Weatherwax and the other witches head off into parts unknown to fix a bit of magical mayhem and find that someone is forcing fairytales into reality. The big bad wolf from Red Riding Hood is a pitiful creature, forced by magic into a walking, talking nightmare. It still makes me gag a little to think about that scene. Then there is the girl being married to the Prince, whom she does not love. By the end, we find a misguided and insane woman playing with people’s lives and being a not-so-good fairy godmother.
