Teaser Tuesday – Jan. 31

It is once again time for MizB’s Teaser Tuesday at Should Be Reading! To play along, just take your current read and turn to a random page. Take two sentences from that page (making sure it’s not too much of a spoiler!) and tease us with a glance at what you’re reading.

“Fish wanted the full hokeypokey on my savvy. He wanted details. He wanted them now.”
Page 161, Savvy by Ingrid Law.

(Okay, I cheated. That’s three sentences but I couldn’t leave the last bit out!)

  1. This sounds like a book that would be fun to read. I love “hokey pokey.” I just finished The Same Sweet Girls and posted my teaser from it: Sandy’s Teaser

  2. That left me utterly clueless..lol That cover is pretty though. Reminicent of Van Gogh

It has that loose, witty style of writing that I find utterly endearing. Kind of like Neil Gaiman. The author also has a habit of making up words. A savvy is kind of like a magic power the characters get when they turn thirteen. I hope the teaser makes some sense now.

  3. Oh. This is a cool concept because this is kinda how I choose books – picking them up and reading a few sentences….
